The director Makoto Shinkai ( Kotonoha no Niwa Hoshi Ou Kodomo or ) has created a television advertisement entitled “ Cross Road "for the company dedicated to education correspondence Z-Kai . The project will debut on TV next Tuesday in three formats ( 15, 30 and 120 seconds ). The ad can also be seen via Niconico and YouTube the same day. 
story "Cross Road” focuses on two high school students called Miho ( Ayane Sakura ) and Shota ( Kensho Ono ) as they prepare for exams. Miho is an island that has no academy, while Shota lives in Tokyo and works part time. Both strive to try to pass the entrance exams to college. Both are enrolled in the program by correspondence of Z-Kai and their lives intersect without realizing it. 
Shinkai directed the animated ads under Comix Wave Films with Masayoshi Tanaka ( Anohana, Toradora! ) as character designer and animation director. Nagi Yanagi ( Bakemonogatari, Nagi no Asukara ) plays the song played in the advert, “ Cross Road ”. The melody is inspired by the Irish sounds and Shinkai himself wrote the letter.
